Comey agrees to publicly testify before Senate intelligence committee

Hearing likely to take place at the end of the month. Comey was fired by President Donald Trump amid an investigation into alleged Russian meddling into the US Presidential election.

The hearing will likely take place at the end of the month. Comey was fired by President Donald Trump last week amid an investigation into alleged Russian meddling into the US Presidential election.

The Washington Post is reporting that a senior Trump adviser is under scrutiny. While the New York Times says Trump told Russian officials that firing Comey eased pressure on the case.
