Facebook went down on Monday for the second time in a week. Users complained about an error message that read "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can." Now the social networking website is back up and working as usual.
"We’re currently restoring Facebook services that people sad trouble accessing earlier today due to a configuration issue. We’re working to bring things back to normal for everyone. We apologize to those who have been inconvenienced," a Facebook spokesperson told Newsweek.
Others were also unable to access the Facebook application but Messenger services seem to be working.
Facebook last went down on Thursday in North America, Europe, Australia and India. The social networking site is used by 1.5 billion.
The company's shares fell by approximately 4 percent to $89.25 (£58.83) shortly after site went down. The corporation will have lost a lot of advertising income for the second time in a week.
