US President-elect Donald Trump's picks for secretary of defense and director of the Central Intelligence Agency – James Mattis and Mike Pompeo – strongly warned about Russia during their congressional hearings on Thursday.

Assuming they're both confirmed, their views appeared to be at odds with those of their soon to be Commander in Chief.
