Fox TV confirmed that the creators of the popular TV Series Prison Break are preparing to write the first episode for the new season of the show.
“I would describe it as a bit of a sequel,it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series and for a new audience, it'll start after where we left the Scofields in the final season,” Fox chairman Dana Walden was quoted as saying regarding the rebooting of the show.
The new season will apparently offer viewers “a logical and believable explanation of why the characters are alive and still moving around the world,” Fox’s Dana Walden said.
Created by director Paul Scheuring, Prison Break broadcasted on Fox for four seasons from 2005 to 2009.
The plot of the TV series revolves around two brothers. One of the brothers were found guilty and sentenced to death for a crime he did not perpetrate and the other tries to find a way to help his brother escape jail and prove his innocence.
The series has been an inspiration for short videos for mobile phones and a video game with the same name.
There is no further information confirmed on when the production will begin exactly or when it will air as the network is yet to make such announcements.
