A chain of packaged bombs exploded in as many as 13 locations across China’s Liucheng County on Wednesday leading to the death of at least three people and injuring 13, as reported by the state-run China Central Television (CCTV) on Weibo.
Nanguo Zaobao reported on Weibo that the bombings took place in a shopping mall, prison, a county government office, supermarket, transport station, hospital, staff dormitory of animal husbandry, vegetable market and diseases control centre.
Local authorities reported that the explosions took place due to a trigger by parcel bombs and called on the public not to approach or open the parcels, the newspaper said.
CCTV released images following the expplosins of a levelled building, a huge mountain of smoke and streets flooded with rubble.
Police have not yet announced who they hold responsible over the attacks, CCTV stated.
