EU condemns violence against Rohingya Muslims

The EU’s head of foreign affairs Federica Mogherini says this has become one of the most serious refugee crises of modern times.

The European Union has joined the international chorus condemning the violence in Myanmar, as thousands of Rohingya Muslims continue to flee into neighbouring Bangladesh.

The United Nations has called for a massive relief operation to help the refugees and a much bigger response from the international community.
