Microsoft launches its newest operating system Windows 10 for use in PCs and mobile devices

The world’s largest PC software company giant Microsoft Corporation co-founded by Bill Gates announced late-Wednesday its new operating system (OS) Windows 10.

Windows 10 will be available as a limited free upgrade in 190 countries for users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1.

Windows with new OS aims to compete with Apple and Google Inc. its rivals which also design operating systems for personal computers, laptops and smartphones.

Danny Chung, Senior Manager Public Relations at Microsoft announced Windows 10 on his personal Twitter account putting #UpgradeYourWorld.

Chief Executive Satya Nadella went to Kenya to celebrate Windows 10 production of Microsoft Corporation.

Windows said on its official website that Windows 10 is the best Windows ever that aims to empower their customers to do great things.

Windows comes to users with a new browser called “Edge” powered by Microsoft search engine Bing.

Microsoft added one more new facility called “Cortana” which is a voice-activated digital assistant. Cortana can answer users’ questions.

“[Cortana] knows I’m in New York and knows it’s roughly lunch time,” said Microsoft’s group program manager for Cortana, Marcus Ash to Time magazine, adding “The list will change for happy hour and change for dinner later on.”

Users also can download apps from the Windows Store.

Windows was also improved to process information in a secure and faster manner for business works.

“Your business can control the frequency of your updates and select the features and functionality that is right for each group of your employees,” Windows stated on their official website.

Microsoft announced in April that was aiming for 1 billion devices to run on Windows 10 within three years, Reuters reported.
