Auto-workers at Ford Otosan in northwestern Turkey’s Eskisehir province have joined the auto-strikes of the Turkish Metal labour that began in Bursa province.
The strike is ongoing and the workers say they will continue their strikes until their demands are accepted. Renault workers are the only group that continue the strike in Bursa province.
Last week, workers at the firm’s factories in Golcuk and Yenikoy districts took action over pay and working conditions. Workers at Tofas and Oyak Renault car markets also joined the strikes.
Tofas workers ended a five-day strike last week.
The workers were also protesting against the Turkish Metal Labour Union claiming the union wasn’t representing them.
