Azerbaijani forces claim to have brought down an Armenian drone flying over national territory on Thursday.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has claimed, an Armenian drone had been defected flying over Azerbaijani military bases and army unit factions in the southern Fuzuli district.
The drone was shot down by soldiers, the ministry added.
On July 4, two Armenian drones were also taken down by Azerbaijani military forces, according to the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
The claims have not been verified by independent sources.
Nagorno-Karabakh region in Azerbaijan has been invaded by Armenia in 1988, with minor conflicts following. The altercations soon turned to full-fledged warfare in 1992.
The war ended in 1994, Armenian and Azeri delegations have held talks over the status of the Nagorno-Karabakh, which is now under the supervision of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe's Minsk Group.
