Brexit would make UK counter-terrorism job harder – Europol

The head of Europol, Rob Wainwright said on Monday that the British Police would find it difficult to protect citizens from terrorist attacks and organised crime after a departure from the European Union.

In countering a key claim of British eurosceptics, director of the EU body, said, "If you take that infrastructure that they (British police) have helped to design over the past forty years, it would make the United Kingdom's job harder to protect citizens from terror."

Remaining in the European Union would increase the risk of Paris-style attacks in the EU according to a Senior British government minister Iain Duncan Smith, who is campaigning for Britain to leave the 28 member bloc.
