The German government has vowed to increase deportations of illegal immigrants. The decision follows a truck attack on a Christmas market in Berlin last month which killed 12 people.

The driver was a failed asylum seeker. Hundreds of thousands of Afghans are seeking refuge in Germany.

Many say they are worried that they may no longer be safe.
