The movie “Southside With You” will be about the Obamas’ first outing in 1989.

Barack Obama and Michelle Robinson apparently visited the Art Institute of Chicago and went to the pictures to watch Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing on their first date. Afterwards they kissed for the first time outside an ice cream parlour.

Back then, Obama was a first-year Harvard Law student working as an associate at Chicago law firm Sidley Austin and Miss Michelle Robinson was his boss. The couple got married in 1992.

The movie is described as a romantic comedy and will be directed by Richard Tanne.

It is expected to start shooting in Chicago in August 2015.
