A couple died the same day last month in their home in San Diego, only days before their 75th wedding anniversary.

The couple apparently had wished to die in each others arms and their wish was fulfilled last month when Alexander Toczko,(95) died in Jeanette’s (94) arms.

"And he died in her arms, which is exactly what he wanted. I went in there and told my mother he was gone; she hugged him and she said, 'See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon,'" told Aimee Toczko-Cushman, the couple’s daughter.

Only 24 hours later, Jeanette joined her husband, and passed away.

"They were boyfriend and girlfriend when they were 8 years old,” said Richard, the couple’s son.

The Toczko couple were married for 75 years and according to their children, ever since the day they met, the two lived a life-long love affair.

"Their hearts beat as one from as long as I can remember," said Toczko-Cushman.

The couple was buried this week at Miramar National Cemetery.
