Yellow fever has killed 158 people in Angola since an outbreak began in the country in late 2015, an official from the World Health Organisation said on Friday. Over 100 people have died from the disease in the last month alone.
The disease is transmitted by mosquitoes.
There has also been an increase in malaria, cholera and chronic diarrhoea in Luanda and other cities in Angola.
One of the reasons for the spread of diseases is a breakdown in sanitation services and rubbish collection, health officials say.
