Israeli occupation forces kill 72 year old Palestinian woman driving to gas station

Israeli forces killed a 72 year old Palestinian woman, Tharwat al Sharawi, who was shot 15 times by Israeli forces while she was driving her car. She died on the road to the hospital in Halhul, north of Hebron on Friday.

A spokesperson at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem declared that the woman was dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The deceased woman's husband, Fouad, had been killed by Israeli forces during the First Intifada.

Israeli forces claimed that the woman was driving towards Israeli forces when she was killed. Her body was riddled with 15 bullets.

Two Palestinian children who were standing at a gas station nearby were injured as Israeli gunfire broke the car window of Mrs al Sharawi to pieces. 

Al Sharawi was 74th Palestinian who have been shot and killed since the beginning of the clashes last month, the majority of whom killed by shooting by Israeli forces.

During protests following Friday prayer protests, Israeli forces surrendered the Wasaya Al Resul Mosque to stop a demonstration called "Unity March" with tear gas and rubber bullets.

Bab’uz Zaviye region located in the middle of Hebron and the people who gathered at the Ibrahim Khalil Mosque were dispersed with sound bombs and tear gas by Israeli forces.

The Palestinian Fatah movement called people to come to a protest after the Friday prayer called the "resist with your prayer" to break the siege of Israeli forces on Palestinian mosques.
