Egypt’s Sisi meets Spanish King in Madrid

Egyptian President Abdul Fattah el Sisi arrives at Spanish Royal Palace in Madrid

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has arrived at the Spanish Royal Palace in Madrid to meet Spanish King Felipe VI.

The Spanish King and the Egyptian President will discuss ways of promoting cooperation and strengthening relations between the two countries.

Sisi arrived at Madrid last night, after concluding his visit to Greek Cyprus which started his Europe tour.

Spanish Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism Jose Manuya Soria and Egyptian Ambassador in Madrid Ahmed Ismail, welcomed Sisi upon his arrival, said Ambassador Alaa Youssef, spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency.

Spanish prime minister prepared a special dinner in Sisi’s honour, which was attended by numerous ministers from both Countries.

Sisi met with the Spanish minister of economy this morning in his residence, in order to prepare for a bigger meeting, gathering business men of both countries.
