In November 2012, Israeli and Palestinian factions in Gaza entered into an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire where both parties would cease hostilities and in which Israel would relieve restrictions on the Gaza Strip. But both sides violated that agreement. One side did so more frequently and more brutally than the other.
