ISIS repotedly killed 22 year old Syrian girl for sending Whatsapp messages in the town of Khusham in the eastern countryside east of Deir al Zour, she was detained for two months, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

ISIS raided the home of the Syrian girl, confiscated her phone and found conversations on Whatsapp messaging applications sent to her brother, who belongs to the Syrian opposition. Her brother is fighting against Assad regime forces in Qalamoun.

She and her brother were discussing ISIS in the messages.

Although she was arrested two months ago, reports of her "execution" surfaced only recently.

The Syrian civil war started in March 2011 and has so far resulted in the deaths of over 240,000 people and displaced millions internally and internationally to neighbouring countries.
