Israeli forces on Monday shot dead two Palestinians who were allegedly attempting a stabbing attack in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian's identities and ages were not immediately released. They reportedly wounded two Israeli women in a stabbing attempt outside a grocery store in Beit Horon, north-west of Jerusalem, before being shot.

The incident comes days after Isreali police shot dead a 13-year-old girl who also allegedly attempted to carry out a knife attack.

It's been four months since frequent clashes restarted after Israeli police carried out a raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, one of the holiest sites in Islam and the Jewish faith. The violence shows no signs of abating soon.

Since then, close to 200 Palestinians have been killed, most of whom were accused of attempting attacks on Israelis, while 23 Israelis were also killed in the same period.
