A Kenyan judge on Monday ordered that seven doctors from a national doctors' union be jailed after ongoing strikes over pay and working conditions at public hospitals.

The opposition condemned the court's decision, but the doctors were jailed for leading the nationwide strike which has greatly affected healthcare in the country.
