Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian teenager after he allegedly tried to attack an Israeli with a knife in the West Bank village of Kfar Abboud on Friday afternoon.
The killing of the Palestinian teenager, who was identified as 21-year-old male, is the fifth incident within the last two days.
Israeli soldiers have also killed four other Palestinians, all of whom were accused of trying to carry out attacks on Israelis, according to Israeli officials.
The rapid increase in the death toll of Palestinians and Israelis has come amid a recent series of violence in Israel and occupied Palestinian territories, following Israeli incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
So far, at least 108 Palestinians have been killed by gunfire from Israeli security forces since October 1, and about 17 Israelis have died in stabbing attacks. The unrest in the occupied territories started on the eve of the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah on September 13.
