A massive fire devastated a furniture factory in Egypt and left 24 dead on Wednesday, the Health Ministry spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said.
Twenty-two others sustained serious injuries from the fire.
Obour city is about 35 kilometres (22 miles) northeast of Cairo, the cause of the fire could not be confirmed, however this is the second incident of the sort to happen this month.
A passenger party boat sunk in the Nile river, killing at least 35 people including women and children in July 23.
The boat collided with a cargo boat in Cairo’s north rural Nile Shore of Warraq. Senior medical sources told AFP, on Thursday, that most of the recovered bodies are women and children of very young age, who were apparently celebrating an engagement party on the boat.
