Murder charge... Pistorius takes notes during day five of his murder trial

Lusanda Ntuli, a judicial spokeswoman, said Oscar Pistorius will appear in court for bail on Tuesday following the court decision to convict Pistorius of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

A South African official said that the sentencing date could be announced during the trial in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.

South Africa's "Blade Runner" Oscar Pistorius was found guilty on Thursday of murdering his girlfriend, in an appeal court ruling that could see him being sent back to prison for up to 15 years.

The Supreme Court upgraded the 29-year-old paralympian's sentence on appeal to murder from "culpable homicide," for which he had received a five-year sentence.

Pistorius spent one year of a five-year sentence in jail, he was then put under house arrest at his uncle's villa in Pretoria in October.
