Son of Dubai ruler died at the age of 33

After the death of Dubai ruler’s son Sheikh Rashid, three days of mourning were announced in the United Arab Emirates, the official state news agency WAM said on Saturday.

The flags at government departments and institutions were lowered at half mast,  the 3 days of mourning started on Saturday.  

Rashid will be buried in Dubai on Saturday.

He played a significant role in advancing sports in the UAE, the Dubai Media Office said.

Sheikh Rashid, died of a heart attack according to government sources. He is the eldest son of the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.
