Turkish Consulate-General in Jerusalem, Mustafa Sarnic addressed journalists in his residence and gave information about Turkey’s recent aid on Gaza.

Sarnic said: “The Palestine issue is a bleeding wound of all mankind. As Turkey, we do our best in this regard. About 369 million dollars aid was done to Gaza in the last 10 years.’’

Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA)’s coordinator for Palestine, Bulent Korkmaz, said Turkey provided clean drinking water for more than 500,000 people constructing 26 water wells in Gaza and Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital -with 176 beds- was built on an area of 34,000 square metres.

Sarnic pointed out that Turkish nongovernmental organisations did 9.4 million dollars aid for development and 7.7 million dollars emergency aid contributing the total figure reach 76.3 million dollars.
