According to US military sources, the US-led coalition forces have conducted 14 air strikes in Iraq and nine in Syria against ISIS targets during a 24-hour period ending on Tuesday morning, as Reuters reported.
Among the targets in Iraq were; buildings, fighting positions, vehicles, and a rocket system in Mosul, Tal Afar, Baiji, Kirkuk and Makhmur belonging to ISIS.
Six of the air strikes in Syria targeted Kobani near the Turkish border and three air strikes hit ISIS stronghold of Raqqa which destroyed the group’s tactical units, three resupply boats, an excavator, a fighting position and a vehicle.
US-led air strikes on the Syrian northern province of Aleppo killed a couple and their five children overnight, activists reported on Monday.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the family was killed in Daly Hasan town in the northeast of Aleppo province.
The SOHR reported that at least 148 civilians have been killed so far by the US-led coalition air strikes targeting ISIS on Sept. 23.
