Chelsea have been crowned victors of the English Premier League this season with three games to spare after beating Crystal Palace 1-0 at their home ground of Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Chelsea's Belgian star Eden Hazard scored the leading goal near the end of the first half.

Despite having missed a penalty kick, he followed the ball on the loose and found the net with a header.

Home team Chelsea secured their 1-0 lead for the remainder of the match and won the Premier League title with three matches to spare.

"The Blues" had raised their points to 83 in the standings as of match day 35 while their closest opponents, Manchester City and Arsenal, have 67 points each.

The London club won their fifth league title after a five-year-break with Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho witnessing the third Premier League title in his career with Chelsea.
