Three injured in aircraft crash in Turkey’s central province of Konya

A civilian ultra-light NG-4 aircraft carrying three passengers crashed for an unknown reason in Turkey’s central province of Konya on May 14.

The circumstances causing to the aircraft to crash are still not clear, the officials said.

The passengers on board - Portuguese Carlos Jorge, 56, German Ulrich Metternich, 56, Italian Diego Ruggiero, 40 - were rescued by search and rescue teams from Turkey’s Air Forces Command.

The officers reported that the injured passengers were civilian participants in the NATO Tiger 2015 Meet in Konya. 

The NATO Meeting, which started last Monday, will end on May 15.
