19-year old Mert Comert died nearly a month after Suruc suicide attacks

19-year old Mert Comert who was heavily injured after Suruc suicide bombing, died on Friday in a hospital located in Turkey's southeastern province of Sanliurfa.

Hospital officials said that his body will be sent to the Institution of Forensic Medicine in Sanliurfa for autopsy.

With Comert, the death toll from the Suruc suicide bombing has risen to 34 including the suicide bomber.

The number had risen to 33 on Aug. 4 when Vatan Budak passed away 16 days after the bombing.

A total of 32 people were killed on July 20 in a massive explosion that hit the garden of the Amara Culture Centre where members of the pro-Kurdish Federation of Socialist Youth Associations (SGDF) gathered for a press meeting, before crossing into Syria to support the people of Kobani.

Turkish government officials blamed the attack on ISIS, as the suicide bomber who carried out the attacks had links to the militant organisaion.
