According to data from the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 hit Turkey’s southern mediterranean coast on Thursday.
The earthquake occurred off the shore of Mersin province at 1:00am.
Other provinces in the region such as Adana, Hatay, Mersin, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaras and Gaziantep were among the areas which felt the quake.
A number of citizens left their homes and poured to the streets after the earthquake.
No damage or injuries have been reported yet.
