A Turkish policeman from the Special Forces has died in the latest PKK terror attack in the southeastern province of Sirnak on Tuesday afternoon.

PKK terrorists have reportedly attacked the Turkish Security Forces using long barreled weapons in the Cizre district of Sirnak province, where a curfew has been standing for 37 days in order to remove barricades and trenches from the streets of the district.

Turkish media has reported that armed clashes are continuing in certain neighbourhoods in the district.

PKK -considered a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US, and EU- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against Turkey in late July, after unilaterally ending a two and half year ceasefire.

Since then, more than 250 people including security officials and civilians have been killed in PKK terror attacks.
