PKK terrorists abduct mentally ill man believing he is special operations police

Media outlets close to the outlawed PKK, claimed that the militant group abducted a Special Operations Police captain.  However, according to Turkish media the man abducted by the militant group was a mental patient.

Mentally ill man who has been treated at Elazig Mental Health Hospital was abducted by PKK terrorists on Wednesday night.

The abducted man had been sent to the Elazig Mental Health Hospital by Silopi Public Prosecuter's Office on May 5, 2012. He was discharged two months later.

Later, he was sent back to the same hospital once again to receive treatment, by the Pertek District Governorate, he was discharged on November 7, 2013.

He was moved to a special nursing home in Kusadasi province of Aydin, a short time after he was discharged.
