PKK terrorists kill one Turkish soldier: army

A non-commissioned army officer was killed with explosion of a hidden mine in Kars, Turkish army reports

PKK terrorists killed a non-commissioner officer on Saturday afternoon with the explosion of a hidden mine in the eastern town of Kars, Kagizman county.

According to information released by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), a group of militants closed a section of road on the Kagizman-Igdir-Erzurum highway and set four vehicles on fire late on Friday.

The TAF launched an investigation into the incident, sending military personnel to the region.

Officials said that a hidden mine exploded during the tracing of the investigation team, killing the non-commissioned officer.

PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by Turkey as well as the US, EU, and NATO.

PKK sets three vehicles on fire in separate incident

PKK terrorists also set three trucks on fire on the Tunceli-Erzincan highway on the same day, Turkey’s Anadolu Agency has reported.

PKK has recently increased its attacks on civilians, workers, private cars, workplaces as well as Turkish security forces.
