Three Turkish policemen were injured during an armed attack by PKK terrorists in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir early on Friday morning.
The policemen got injured after a group of PKK terrorists attacked them with long barreled weapons while they were patrolling in Bagcilar neighborhood.
Following the attack, a clash erupted between the policemen and the terrorists, in where one terrorist was killed, while the other terrorists involved in the incident managed to escape the scene.
Meanwhile, Turkish security forces launched an anti terror operation against PKK in the southern province of Gaziantep on Friday.
During the operation, one suspect was detained over carrying out propaganda of terrorist organisation PKK.
Another PKK suspect was detained in Istanbul due to supplying explosives to the terrorist group.
PKK, which is listed as a terror organisation by Turkey, US and EU has killed over 150 security officials and over 30 civilians since PKK’s umbrella organisation, KCK, unilaterally ended a two-year-long ceasefire with the government on July 11.
