PKK terror attack kills army officer in southeast Turkey

PKK attack on security forces traveling in convoy kills non-commissioned army officer and injures policeman in southeastern Hakkari province

PKK terrorists carried out an attack on a security forces traveling in a convoy and killed a non-commissioned Turkish Army officer and injured a policeman in southeastern Hakkari province early Tuesday morning, according to military sources.

The incident took place in Hakkari’s Yuksekova district.

The injured policeman was taken to Yuksekova State Hospital. Security forces launched an operation in the area to nab the attackers.

Turkish security forces have been fighting PKK terrorists since the two-and-a-half year ceasefire broke down in late July, following the Suruc bombing that killed dozens of people.
