Turkish Armed Forces dispatched a convoy of 200 military vehicles to Sirnak in recent times after escalating PKK terror attacks

The Turkish Armed Forces announced on Friday that PKK terrorists killed two soldiers in the southeastern province of Sirnak in two consecutive terror attacks on Thursday night.

In the attacks eight soldiers were also injured along with a village guard.

According to the official announcement, at least 34 PKK terrorists were killed in a military operation following the attack.

The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US, EU and the UK.

The PKK began renewed terror attacks in Turkey when its umbrella organisation the KCK unilaterally ended an over two-year-long ceasefire with the government on July 11. Since then, attacks by the group have claimed the lives of over 120 security officers and  30 civilians.
