Two different terror attacks that came early Monday morning by PKK terrorists on security forces kill two soldiers in Turkey’s southeastern provinces of Gaziantep and Osmaniye.
A soldier was killed in an armed attack by PKK terrorists on early Monday in Islahiye district of Gaziantep province in Turkey’s southeast.
According to reports, special gendarmerie forces conducting a search and surveillance in rural areas of Amanos Mountains came under armed attack by PKK terrorists.
The injured soldier in the terror attack was immediately taken to Balcali hospital operating under Cukurova University in Adana, but he could not be saved despite the intervention.
PKK is a recognised terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, EU and the UK.
An operation was launched in the area following the attack.
Meanwhile, another soldier Ufku Demirel who was heavily wounded in clashes with PKK terrorists at the Zorkun plateau died at the same hospital.
His funeral is reported to be taken to his home in northern Tokat province.
With the latest ones, the number of security officials killed in PKK terror attacks has risen to 135 since the PKK’s umbrella organisation, KCK, unilaterally ended a two-year-long ceasefire with the government on July 11.
