Salih Eroglu, a police officer working in the Hani district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakir in Turkey, has been murdered by PKK terrorists while driving back home with his wife and three-year old child after a shopping trip.

While he was driving back home with his family, Eroglu realised that the road between Diyarbakir city centre and Hani District had been blocked by PKK terrorists and turned back, but before being able to escape the area the militants shot him.

His wife and child escaped the attack without being injured.

Security forces have started operations in the region to find the attackers.

Over 130 security officials and more than 30 civilians have been murdered in PKK terror attacks since the PKK’s umbrella organisation, the KCK unilaterally ended a two-year-long ceasefire with the Turkish Government on July 11.

The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by Turkey, the US, EU and UK.
