Turkish police detained three DAESH suspects during an anti-terror operation in the southeastern province of Diyarbakir on Sunday.
A statement by the security officials said the operation was launched after the police received a notice that the suspects were planning to carry out an attack in the region.
One of the suspects was identified as a Russian citizen.
Police officers also seized several weapons and ammunition while searching the hideouts of the suspects.
Turkey’s fight against the DAESH terrorist organisation stepped up on July 24, when Turkey launched its first air strikes targeting DAESH positions in Syria.
Ankara later launched comprehensive terror operations to capture DAESH terrorists within the country.
