One Turkish policeman died and two others were injured during clashes with PKK terrorists in Turkey’s southeastern province of Van on Sunday.
Security forces reported that the clashes erupted after policemen had launched an operation to a suspected cell house of the terrorists.
While the injured policemen were taken to hospital, police said a total number of 12 PKK terrorists were killed in the armed conflict.
Police also reported that the operation in the region still continues to seize the terrorists.
In July, PKK- which is considered to be a terrorist organisation by the US and the EU besides Turkey- renewed its armed campaign, ending a two-year ceasefire with the Turkish government.
Since then, around 300 soldiers, police and civilians have died during PKK terror attacks.
