Two ISIS suspects arrested in southern Turkey

Two ISIS suspects of foreign nationality caught in Turkey’s southern province of Kilis as trying to cross into Syria

According to the police headquarters of Kilis province, Turkish security forces arrested two people suspected of being ISIS members in bus terminal of Elbeyli town in Turkey’s southern province of Kilis on Tuesday.

The security forces were patrolling the area while they were allegedly trying to cross into the engagement area in Syria.

One of the suspects is determined to be Moscow-born A.B. (34), while the other one is Russian citizen with Chechen nationality M.Z.(27).

An investigation is opened against two suspects allegedly for “being member to terrorist organisation.”

Turkey has already stepped up its efforts against ISIS to prevent the flow of militants through its borders.

As of June, Turkey banned 14,515 foreign fighters from entering the country and deported 1,471 others, according to the Migration Authority of the Interior Ministry Headquarters.
