A US armed predator drone is said to have made an emergency on Monday night.

Media reported on Tuesday that the drone landed due to “engine failure.”

After witnesses altered security officers, a large scale search was conducted near Gulova village located in the Kirikhan District of Turkey's southern Hatay Province.

Gendarmerie forces carried out initial searches near the village, which is only ten kilometers away from the Syrian border, but found no evidence of the drone.

The search resumed at dawn.

On Oct. 16, another drone, alleged to belong to Russia, was downed by Turkey close to the border.
