US farmers battle depression
There are a number of factors including the social isolation of farming but the biggest pressure is financial. Farm incomes have dropped by half in the last five years alone and the prospects aren't looking any brighter.

Farmers around the world are known to be vulnerable to depression but the agricultural community in the US has has been under particular pressure.
US Health officials say farmers in America are facing a mental health crisis.
As their economic prospects deteriorate, an increasing number are taking their own lives.
Now, it's feared the levying of tariffs by China on US agricultural products will make the situation even worse.
