Tintin fans are excited over release of colour version of first comic

'Tintin in the Land of the Soviets' sees the Belgian reporter escaping from a train in Berlin after a bomb explodes and being chased by Soviet soldiers.

Belgian cartoonist Herge's comic series 'The Adventures of Tintin' has sold more than 200 million copies and been translated into 77 languages since its debut in 1930.

Belgian reporter Tintin and his trusty sidekick Snowy have been jumping off trains, swimming with sharks and flying rockets into space for 88 years.

But it's only this week that the first comic of the series has been republished in colour – becoming the last of the 24 stories to get the treatment.
