The 9th round of UN talks on Syria makes little progress

Having regained the upper hand on the battlefield after nearly seven years of conflict, Regime leader Bashar al-Assad appears unwilling to negotiate with his enemies at all, let alone step down as part of any peaceful solution.

The 9th round of UN talks on Syria was billed as the 'last hope' for peace.

But there were few signs of progress, while the fighting goes on.

‪It looks like once again, both sides are turning their backs on one another and the possibility of making this process the road to peace.
