High unemployment drives youth out of Kosovo

Low job security and low pay are why there was a huge exodus in 2014-15 when tens of thousands of young Kosovo Albanians migrated illegally to European Union countries.

Kosovo has the youngest population in Europe, with more than half under 25-years-old. 

But youth unemployment is around 57 percent. 

Low job security and low pay are why there was a huge exodus in 2014-15 when tens of thousands of young Kosovo Albanians migrated illegally to European Union countries.  

And as TRT World'sIolo ap Dafydd reports, leaving Kosovo is still an ambition for many.
