Palestinian family feels cost of conflict with Israel

During recent protests in Gaza, thousands of people suffered life-changing injuries, many of them shot by Israeli snipers. The Khrawat family has suffered more than most with three of its members wounded in the past six months.

Palestinian leaders in the Gaza Strip have been calling on protesters for weeks to demonstrate at the Gaza Israel border.

And each Friday Israeli snipers have been shooting protesters who responded to that call and approached the border fence.

We met a family with four members now disabled, and unlikely to ever earn a decent wage after taking up the fight.
