In a now deleted post, Starbucks in Kazakhstan introduced a Ramadan midday “happy hours” coffee deal, sparking outrage among users who described the campaign as out of touch with the practices of the holy month.

Critics noted that a promotion linked to the occasion should have been scheduled after sunset, when the fast is broken.
