USS Gerald R Ford, the US Navy’s most advanced aircraft carrier, has arrived in the Caribbean as Washington’s standoff with Venezuela heats up, framed by US President Donald Trump as a fight against what he calls "narco-terrorism".
The US has carried out at least 21 strikes on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific since September, leaving around 80 people dead.
