Foreign fighters from Daesh pose an unprecedented global threat

The international military battle to defeat Daesh in major cities may be over. But its ideology still lingers as the foreign fighters return to their homes.

At the height of its recruitment drive, Daesh terror group has been able to draw thousands of foreign fighters from all over Europe.

The military battle to push the group from cities and towns - especially in Syria and Iraq - may be over.

But as TRT World’s Sara Firth reports it can re-emerge in another form.
